Unfortunately there isn't much to say that's good about this company. After finishing a contract with them I was relieved that I had to deal with them no further. Whilst the staff were generally polite and sometimes helpful, they failed time and time again to fulfil the needs of their contractees. The communication from the company was generally poor, with staff that cannot spell properly and a high staff turnover, calls to the office were often wasted and emails neglected.
Great letting agents who always keep the student in mind! I've rented both my properties during my time at university through them, and they have always had amazing customer service, and fixed any problems quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend, especially as a student, it's nice to know they do care about you! All the staff are lovely as well and take the time to explain anything you're unsure about.
Do not go near the SU homes. They are terrible with customer service. They are terrible with charging the deposits fairly and everything else. If you leave them an honest review of how you feel they threaten you with saying that they have a copy of your new homes referencing request. Please never rent with them.
Extremely incompetent and heavily favoured towards the landlords, despite claiming to be helpful to students (What a surprise). Inventory was done poorly, missing out plenty of crucial damage that existed (That I had to careful document and correct), and ignoring the filth when we moved in. After demanding the place actually be cleaned and repairs be done before we move in, they promised they'd update the inventory. Of course they did not, and upon moving out charged us exorbitant amounts for lightbulbs that were broken when we moved in, and for cleaning a washing machine (Completely moldy and unusable when we moved in) and oven (Caked over with grease). We're students, we're no longer living in the area and we can't fight this in small claims. Frankly we shouldn't have to.We had pictures of the state of the place, but of course that didn't matter.Do not go near them. It's not worth it.
Very easy to work with and they definitely take a lot of care when it comes to ensuring things are done properly for the students. In my experience, they are more than happy to sit and talk if you have any issues and have always helped me arrive at a good solution to any problems related to my tenancy. It would be 5 stars but sometimes the communications via email can be confusing so an office visit is often necessary to clear up confusion.
